• Contemporary Jazz — Beg/Int •

Contemporary jazz beginning/intermediate will explore current styles of jazz movement, including contemporary and lyrical. This is a perfect class for beginning or intermediate students looking to increase their understanding of the contemporary jazz style. After a basic but technical ballet, jazz, and modern based warm-up, you will expand your knowledge of jazz moves with footwork, turns, and leaps across the floor. The class will finish with a different center combination each week that will allow you to express your individual style as a dancer.

• Contemporary Jazz — Int/Adv •

Contemporary jazz intermediate/advanced will continue to explore current styles of jazz movement, including contemporary and lyrical. In this class you will increase your technique, coordination, and balance through more challenging intermediate/advanced level combinations. After a technical ballet, jazz, and modern based warm-up, we will explore more advanced rhythmic footwork, fast turns, and large leaps across the floor. This class will finish with a difficult and intricate center combination each week, requiring greater precision, fluidity, and grace as a dancer. Challenge yourself, while expressing your individual style and emotional interpretation.
