Joseph moved to Los Angeles, CA from Denver, CO, where he was a company member of the world renowned Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble. Joseph has also performed principal roles with the Civic Ballet, Danspectra, and Boulder Jazz Dance Company. Joseph has worked with such noted choreographers as Hana Kahn, Wade Madsen, Donald McKayle, Milton Myers, Eleo Pomare, and Nicole Romine. After Joseph's company work, he moved on to more commercial gigs including the Andy Williams Show, Carnival Cruise Lines, & national tours including West Side Story. Choreography credits include work with such companies as the Arvada Center Ballet Company, Arvada Center Jazz Dance Company, Gayton Dance World, Manhattan Arts Project, Synapse Dance Theater, and United Souls in Dance. Stage show choreography credits include Blame It On the Movies, Cabaret, If I Were Lost, The Fantasticks, and Little Shop of Horrors. He is currently the Founder and Artistic Director of the Joseph Allen Decker Dance Company. He is also the Managing Director and Master Teacher of the popular and well-known dance-based exercise system The Bar Method.
